Kid Clothing and Toy Storage

It's amazing how much space baby stuff takes up. Our bedroom is overflowing with diapers, toys, baby blankets, diaper bags and baby clothes. I'm on the search for a nice way to keep everything organized. If possible a "one-stop-shop" station where I can keep Dean's things in one area of the room without it looking cluttered. So far I really like these storage ideas:

I really like the look of this but I'm not sure if I can pull off this as a design element in our room:

Or maybe have an ottoman with a hinge to store toys and can double as seating?

And of course, there's the good old wicker basket:

I'm still looking for fresh ideas that will work for a small space but I think that long ottoman might work best for us. How have you figured out how to store kids items?
